After running and starting a successful CPA firm over 35 years ago Jimmy decided to transition the firm into a niche base accounting, coaching and consulting firm. Today, we exclusively serve veterinarians throughout the United States.
Running a niche base firm is not easy and requires continuous Improvement on two professional fronts. For that reason, you can often find Jim attending presentations at national veterinary conferences like VMX or Fetch, or presenting CE quality programs at industry sponsored events. Professionally Jim is a sitting member on the ACVIM, Finance, Investment, and Audit Committee. In the accounting world he is the past president of the Idaho Association of Public Accountants, and a few years ago he was appointed to the Idaho State Board of Accountancy by Idaho governor Butch Otter. When he is not working with clients and serving their needs you might find him traveling the world. He loves the outdoors, hanging with friends and flying airplanes. His motto is : every day is a new day so control the controllable and enjoy life!
Mira Johnson is the integrator of JF Bell Group and has been with the company since 2012. Her job is to make sure that stuff happens and that client’s expectations are exceeded. She was born and raised in Slovakia where she acquired a masters degree in financial management and accounting. She obtained her CPA license shortly after arriving in the USA. Her passion for technology has helped many veterinarians better their practice as well as improve their personal lives. In her free time she likes to ‘play airport’, garden, and snowboard. Mira’s motto is: change is good, when you change you grow.
Dr. Sheila is a veterinarian, practice owner, and business coach with more than 20 years of experience across equine, small animal, and emergency medicine. In 2018, she founded an urgent care and general practice veterinary hospital, in Tri Cities, WA, which she has grown from a startup into a thriving 12-doctor practice.
Today, she brings that combination of clinical and practice ownership experience to her role as a business coach with JF Bell Group, where she enjoys helping fellow veterinary practice owners navigate the challenges of leadership, growth, and practice management.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Sheila enjoys traveling, pickleball, wakesurfing, and has raised three children to adulthood. She is passionate about helping people grow and giving back to her community, and serves on the board of a nonprofit foundation that supports communities in need, including traveling to underserved areas to help build homes.
She especially values the opportunity to connect with other practice owners, share lessons learned from her own journey, and help veterinary leaders build practices that are both successful and sustainable.
Jessica Kenney is an accounting specialist for JF Bell Group. She joined
the firm in 2020 and her job is to maintain current and accurate records
for our clients. Jessica lives in central New York. She obtained her
bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a master’s degree in business
administration from Le Moyne College. She worked in the veterinary medicine
industry for 6 years and now Jessica is happy to take the knowledge that
she obtained and help veterinarians to better their finances. In her free
time, you can find her camping, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with
family.
Numbers don’t scare me; they tell a story, and I love making sure that story ends in success.
I joined JF Bell Group in 2024, bringing over 20 years of bookkeeping and veterinary office management experience to the team. We work closely with veterinary practices as their remote support team, providing guidance, insight, and partnership so doctors and their teams can stay focused on what they do best, caring for animals. The clinics we work with quickly become ones you genuinely root for, and being part of their growth and success is something I am incredibly proud of.
Originally from South Africa, I moved to the U.S. in 2018 and never looked back. Getting to work with people who care as deeply about animals as I do makes this the perfect fit.
When I am not working, you will find me with my family, exploring new places, or spoiling our senior rescue, Ella, also known as Shmoda Moda, the love of my life. My husband is aware.
I also have a lifelong dream of owning a mean old Chihuahua that tolerates exactly one person. Spoiler, it will be me!
Tabatha Flannery joined the JF Bell Group in 2025 with over 10 years of accounting experience. She has a deep love for numbers and animals, which makes the role with JF Bell so exciting and drives her eagerness to grow with the company.
She lives in Cincinnati, OH, and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. In 2016, she returned to obtain her accounting certificate in 2023. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family doing various activities such as watching sports (Who-Dey!) and enjoying the great outdoors.
Codi joined JF Bell Group in 2026, bringing 10 years of experience in office management and business administration. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Business Technology in 2011. Codi has a passion for numbers, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Codi lives in Northern Idaho, where she balances work life with her role as a full-time homeschool mom and self-proclaimed Chaos Coordinator. She has three children and a lively assortment of furred and feathered critters. Outside of work and home Codi enjoys gardening, camping, hiking, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.
Jennifer joined JF Bell Group in 2026, bringing three years of accounting experience to the team. She is currently sitting for CPA exams. While she’s new to the veterinary side of the industry, she has a strong accounting background and enjoys learning new things every day. Her passion for both accounting and animals makes her role at JF Bell Group a paw-sitive match.
Jennifer currently resides in Upstate New York, where she shares her home with her six beloved pets—four dogs and two cats who happily keep life entertaining. Outside of work, she enjoys discovering great restaurants, collecting Pokémon cards, watching and playing sports, traveling, horse racing, spending time with friends and family, and making the most of every opportunity to create lasting memories.
